The Simoa™ ultra-sensitive biomarker testing service from RayBiotech enables the detection and quantification of biomarkers at concentrations previously difficult or impossible to measure with standard sandwich-based immunoassay techniques. Measuring biomarkers to femtogram (fg/ml) levels, this single molecule array testing service offers a library of thousands of ELISA antibodies which can be converted to the ultrasensitive Single Molecule Detection format.

Custom Simoa development
We are also able to offer a custom Simoa testing platform from the entire RayBiotech immunoassay menu of over 1,600 targets covering 12 different species. Please note there is an additional four to six week lead time for this development.
How it works
Simoa is based upon the isolation of individual immunocomplexes on paramagnetic beads using standard ELISA reagents. The main difference between Simoa and conventional immunoassays lies in the ability to trap single molecules in femtoliter-sized wells, allowing for a “digital” readout of each individual bead to determine if it is bound to the target analyte or not.
